Vicky Lapp RIP - A Tribute

Vicky Lapp RIP - A Tribute by her friend Jake Birnberg - May her Memory be a Blessing

My dear friend Vicki Lapp seemed fine until the last few months of her life, and then declined very quickly. Her two lovely sisters took leave and came out from Colorado to care for her. Vicki was a remarkably beautiful, creative woman who was always making all kinds of new recipes, flower art, and jewelry. She opened a bead store, Bead Inspirations in Alameda that just had it's 20th anniversary a few months ago and is still open and operating. She'd been in a performing dance company, and taught me to dance. She was constantly learning about personal growth, leading groups in NVC, Byron Katie's The Work and anything she could find to help her feel closer to God. I felt very blessed to have her in my life and learned a great deal from her. While at times she was difficult to get along with, she'd created a great deal of community and brought many people together. One of her final gifts to me is that I met my current girlfriend at her birthday party almost two years ago. She will be very much missed.
